Website Theme Change - Congo

It has been a while since my last post because I haven’t had much to say lately. I’ve been meaning to do some updates for some time now on the theme and upgrade my Lambda@Edge functions for the blog and had an opportunity recently to focus on the theme. The theme I had been using seemed to not be keeping up with the latest advances and techniques so I investigated a new theme and came across Congo by James Panther. It met most/all of the requirements I was looking for which were:

  • modern responsive design
  • css framework based on the latest version of Tailwind
  • analytics support
  • similar to the exisiting design so there wouldn’t be many changes to my layouts

Fortunately with just a few hours of work, I was able to install the theme, and customize with my color scheme and enable the features I was looking for through configuration. All of my shortcodes worked with only minor updates to account for the Tailwind css changes.
